HR Magazine: HR heads must find ways to combat loneliness

The latest data from the Office for National Statistics has found nearly a third of UK adults are suffering from loneliness in the latest lockdown. In the current climate, the majority of employees only interact with each other virtually, and with remote work likely to remain on the agenda for many businesses post-covid, businesses will have to work diligently to ensure they lessen the impact of loneliness on their workforce.

Head of HR at M&S, Helene Sharrock, spoke to HR Magazine about why businesses must be mindful of the way employee relationships have changed in the past year, and gave some useful tips for businesses on managing employee engagement to prevent loneliness and protect their mental health.
